Hi everyone

I had such a fantastic time last night I thought I'd share it with you.

Scott and I headed to Raglan harbour last night. It is on the west coast of NZ, about an hour from Hamilton. We were feeling adventurous and went night kayaking.....
and we could not have chosen a better night.

The moon was a day away from full moon, and was shining happily from the clear night sky. There was not a breath of wind and the temp was perfect. We glided thru the water, guiltily as it was like slicing thru a glass mirror. Everything was reflected in the giant mirror, the trees, hills, stars and the moon.

We headed for a waterfall, about 45 minutes by kayak out, which can only be reached at high tide. The waterfall is in a little cove and it was here we witnessed the 'leaping snappers'.

We were sitting waiting for the moon to climb and light up the waterfall, and the fish entertained us in the meantime. They leapt out the water, some even synchronised!!!! Dozens of them, full moon dancing.

Scott and I giggled like children, mine was nervous laughter, coz if one jumped into the kayak, I might have fallen out!!!

If you ever get a chance to do that, grab it, it was fantastic!!!!
